Panels with Attached Valances
Instructions will be sent as a PDF via email after purchase.
The panel and the valance are made separately. They are completely finished except at the top. They are then joined with an extension of the valance wrapping to the back. They are pleated together as one unit.
Buckrum is usually not needed because there is already a lot of bulk. However buckrum can be used, if desired. Both the panel and the valance can be interlined.
These valances should be self or contrast lined. Allow 8” extra fabric at top and a seam at top and bottom. The bottom edge is pillowcased.
Yardage:
Drapery cut length ................ Add 8” to finished length.
Lining...................................... Add 5” to finished length.
Interlining .............................. Figure finished length.
