These patterns and instructions are to build a "swivel" type platform that will help with moveability when upholstering headboards. The carousels are designed to sit on a table top. They tend to be heavy, but once they are in place, very little effort is involved in their support or ability to swivel. The short carousel is handy while you are stapling on the face of the headboard or while you apply lining to the back. The carousel will swivel, allowing you to reach all sides of the headboard while standing in one place. The tall carousel allows you to see the front of the headboard while stapling to the back. You donÕt have to lift the headboard back and forth. The "swivel" of the carousel allows you to remain standing in one place.
